Israeli military operations in the occupied West Bank resulted in the tragic deaths of two young Palestinians and injuries to two others.
Reports from the Palestinian news agency Wafa revealed that Mustafa Sultan Abed, 22, and Ahmad Mohammad Shawahneh, 21, were fatally shot near the Salem checkpoint in Jenin. Ambulances were delayed in reaching the area to retrieve their bodies.
Al Jazeera’s Zein Basravi highlighted the violation of international law as the victims were left unattended for an hour before receiving medical help.
Additional Palestinian casualties were taken to Jenin city for treatment, as confirmed by the Palestine Red Crescent Society.
Israeli forces conducted multiple raids across cities and villages in the West Bank, resulting in arrests, including children and former prisoners.
‘Six months felt like six years’
Since the conflict escalated in Gaza, Israel has detained thousands of Palestinians in the West Bank, with many held without charges under administrative detention.
The situation remains tense as Israeli armed forces continue their operations in the region.
