The authors of the Hardware Unboxed channel decided to conduct another test of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card, this time using 50 games. It’s not common to see such an extensive selection in tests, but the results will be more representative.
However, you don’t even need to watch the video, as it is titled “Why the RTX 4060 Ti is rubbish” in translation.
On average, in Full HD, the RTX 4060 Ti is only 8% faster than the RTX 3060 Ti. This is even lower than in some other reviews, where the increase was at least slightly over 10%. In this mode, there are only two games in the entire collection where the difference is 21-23%, while in all other cases it is 17% or lower. Additionally, there are five games where the RTX 3060 Ti is even faster, with a difference of 10% in one game.
At 1440p, the new model performs even worse. It is only on average 5% faster than its predecessor and loses to it in eight games, which accounts for 16% of the cases.
Of course, in this comparison, the graphics cards were tested without DLSS and frame generation, but for now, this is the most fair comparison. Furthermore, the larger the list of games, the higher the percentage of projects that do not support DLSS at all, and only some of the most modern games can boast DLSS support.
It’s worth noting that the RTX 4060 Ti was released with a price tag of $400, just like the RTX 3060 Ti was at its time of release. Currently, the RTX 3060 Ti is priced from $340 in the US.
