Microsoft has released a new version of the digital-only Xbox Series S in a bold “Carbon Black” color. This new console comes with twice the available storage, 1TB compared to the standard 512GB found in other SKUs. It is priced at $350 and features the same matte finish as the more expensive Series X. Additionally, it comes with an official Xbox Wireless Controller. The console was initially teased at the Summer Games Fest in June and is now available at various brick-and-mortar and digital retailers.
The major highlight of this new console is the increased hard drive space. Since the Series S does not accept physical media, the hard drive is the only storage option. Previous versions were limited to 512GB, which often proved to be insufficient. With the new 1TB storage, users can now accommodate around seven or eight high-profile games, along with plenty of other content.
