Microsoft introduced cutting-edge AI capabilities for Copilot+ PCs, enhancing Windows search and introducing a screen content detection tool.
Click to Do offers an interactive overlay on the desktop screen, suggesting actions to interact with text and images. Users can perform tasks like visual searches on Bing or summarize webpage text quickly.
Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft’s corporate vice president and consumer chief marketing officer, described Click to Do as a tool that understands screen content and provides shortcuts for efficient actions like searching, learning, editing, shopping, or acting on items.
A preview of Click to Do will be accessible to Windows Insider members in November.
Copilot+ PCs feature specialized Windows functionalities designed by Microsoft and OEM partners. These “AI PCs” include a neural processing unit (NPU) for improved on-device AI workload processing.
Microsoft also shared details about making the Recall timeline search tool available to Windows Insiders this month. Initially available on Copilot+ PCs with Qualcomm Snapdragon chips, access will expand to Intel- and AMD-powered devices in November.
