Dragon’s⁢ Dogma II is poised to contend‌ for game of the year,⁢ with the original ⁤RPG from Capcom receiving a lot of enthusiastic praise. ‍Design director at Bethesda Game Studios, Emil Pagliarulo, has also weighed in, stating that the new game can hold its own⁤ alongside the legendary “Skyrim.”

Listen, I’m not saying I⁤ appreciate Dragon’s Dogma II more than other folks. But after working on Oblivion and Skyrim and not being able to perceive these games⁤ like other people,‍ DDII gives⁣ me a sense⁣ of fantasy adventure that ⁢I literally haven’t experienced anywhere else.

And yes, I love Baldur’s‍ Gate III… but it’s different. ⁣This also applies to ⁣ Solasta, Pillars of⁣ Eternity, Dragon Age, and nearly every other “classic” ⁤Western RPG. The feelings that ‌people describe after playing ‍ Skyrim, I get from Dragon’s Dogma II.

The Bethesda employee ⁢also mentioned elements of⁣ Dragon’s ⁣Dogma II that he particularly liked:

Dragon’s Dogma‍ II is available on PC (Steam), PlayStation ‌5, and Xbox Series. Our‌ verdict – “Praiseworthy.”
