Tesla and Hilton have reached an agreement to enhance the accessibility of EV charging while also attracting guests to Hilton hotels. The two companies have announced that they will install 20,000 Tesla Universal Wall Connectors at 2,000 Hilton properties in the US, Canada, and Mexico, starting in 2024. This partnership builds upon their previous collaboration and ensures that each selected property will receive a minimum of six new chargers.
Matt Schuyler, Hilton’s chief brand officer, stated in an interview with CNBC that EV charging is the second most sought-after feature among their hotels. By using the “EV charging” filter on Hilton’s website, we discovered that there are currently 1,148 Hilton hotels with EV chargers in the US, along with 67 properties in Canada and 22 in Mexico. However, this expansion will significantly surpass those numbers. According to The Points Guy, upon completion of the project, Hilton will have more chargers than Los Angeles County, making it the leading provider of chargers in the continent.
