A GTA: San Andreas super fan has posted an extremely cool image online of a hand-made rug that pays homage to Rockstar’s classic. For many players, GTA: San Andreas represents the summit of the franchise, and many of the features that players loved are still yet to reappear in the games almost two decades later. With GTA 6 supposedly coming soon, there’s still hope among players that they’ll finally reappear.
First released in 2004, GTA: San Andreas has remained a crucial part of gaming history and is generally considered one of the greatest video games of all time. With the 2021 remaster GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, Rockstar released a game that many players considered to be inferior to the original. After plenty of fan excitement, fans were let down by the bugs and the lack of attention to detail in GTA: San Andreas’ remaster, which is usually a staple of Rockstar’s titles.
The hand-made rug is clearly a labor of love, and the detail shown in the picture is excellent. The rug itself is a rendition of GTA: San Andreas’ user interface, showing the in-game map and the game’s weapon slots. Not a single detail is missed, down to the subtle shading that can be seen on the weapons. It goes to show that despite the frosty reception of the remastered GTA trilogy, fans still harbor a deep love for the original.
The rug was an instant hit on the subreddit, with multiple players asking to purchase it from the user. It’s unclear if the user plans to sell the rug, or keep it as something for themselves. Creating gaming rugs can be big business, as players look for new ways to bring their favorite franchises into their homes. While a GTA: San Andreas rug is definitely unusual, for the right gaming setup it could be a perfect finishing touch.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Rockstar Games fans have always gone an extra mile to show their appreciation of the creator’s titles. Recently, one Grand Theft Auto fan has taken his devotion a step further by creating a unique and impressive San Andreas rug.
For GTA fan Liam M. Morris, his devotion to the San Andreas locale goes beyond simple admiration. Mateo Thomas, another GTA fan and one of Morris’s close friends, has recently shared with the public the breathtaking rug that Morris has crafted by hand – its design custom to the world of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
The impressive work of art is a vibrant display of Morris’s appreciation for the game and its influences. The textiles used in the project are even held together with a San Andreas colour scheme. The state’s iconic map is sewn into the centre of the intricate rug, and its perimeter boasts a number of symbols from the game such as horseshoes, letter ‘K’s, and even the San Andreas logo itself.
The rug is six feet in diameter and was created by Morris over the span of six hours. It was nothing short of a labour of love as Morris had to design, measure, cut and sew the materials together in order to bring the final project to life.
Since Thomas shared the marvelous rug on social media, it has earned much appreciation from the fans of GTA, praising Morris on a job well done. It is safe to assume that this is probably not the last travel-inspired artwork that Morris and his group of friends will come up with – and although it’s possible that there will never be another rug matching this level of craftsmanship, we can only hope that Morris and his friends will deliver similar masterpieces in the future.
