Google Nest device owners will now have to pay a minimum of $20 more to access the advanced features and longer footage history of their security cameras and doorbells. According to 9to5Google, the tech giant has sent notifications to subscribers in the US, informing them that the standard Nest Aware subscription now costs $8 per month or $80 per year. This is an increase from the previous price of $6 per month or $60 per year when paid annually.
In 2019, the company introduced whole-home Nest Aware subscription plans that cover all of a user’s devices. Prior to that, users had to subscribe separately for each camera.
