Google has recently made a series of announcements regarding its cloud-based productivity apps, with a particular focus on integrating Duet AI. Alongside this, there are also some useful updates coming to various apps, including Google Chat.
Currently in beta on select Workspace plans (with full availability planned for early next year), there is now a feature that enables messaging interoperability between Chat and other services such as Slack and Microsoft Teams. Google has collaborated with a company called Mio to develop this functionality, which could be beneficial for organizations that utilize multiple communication apps.
