Gameplay previews for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s upcoming sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, suggest that more fashionable character customizations are coming to the game. In Fallen Order and its sequel, players take on the role of Cal Kestis, a survivor of the Jedi Purge who seeks to restore the Jedi Order. While Cal’s physical appearance isn’t customizable, his clothing is – but his wardrobe in Fallen Order falls short of the mark.
The clothing options in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order are limited to ponchos. There’s certainly some freedom of choice: players can pick from a variety of colors and patterns, ranging from Kashyyyk-chic camo to hot pink. However, all the garments have the same basic structure and fit, so even with changing hues they get a bit redundant. Thankfully, it looks like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will incorporate massive upgrades to clothing options for greater character customizability.
As seen in a recent preview of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor gameplay, players will be able to find more diversified clothing – including a very fashionable bomber jacket. These character customization options in Jedi: Survivor should help keep exploration interesting in the upcoming sequel. In Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, players who go off the beaten path usually find chests, most often containing cosmetic items like lightsaber customizations or new ponchos.
Lightsaber parts are always nice thanks to the in-depth weapon customization system. But scouring the galaxy for some 21 different ponchos just doesn’t scratch the same itch as Star Wars: Fallen Order’s lightsaber design mechanics. With more varied customization options in Jedi: Survivor as a reward, exploration should stay fresh and feel like less of a chore.
Jedi have never been known for their fashion sense – they’re almost invariably seen wearing dull, brown robes. Certain Star Wars characters have a little more flair, and Jedi: Survivor could take inspiration from their style. Space cowboy-style…

Star Wars fans everywhere are celebrating the introduction of the new clothing customization option for players in the recently released Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Upon its release, developers Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts had introduced a feature that allowed players to customize the appearance of their protagonist by choosing between two outfits: a Jedi robe and a rugged poncho.
Unfortunately, the poncho option created criticism among Star Wars fans. The poncho closely resembles the clothing worn by protagonist Rey in The Last Jedi, and yet the decision to include it as a selection in the game received thousands of negative reviews.
Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts have responded to this criticism by introducing improved clothing customization options in the latest update. Players can now choose from nine new outfits, including two Jedi-inspired designs and seven unique colors. Furthermore, the poncho option has been removed.
This latest update gives Star Wars fans the ability to create their own unique Jedi look. The new outfits offer dynamic options for players, allowing the freedom to create their very own interpretation of the classic Jedi ensemble. Players are also now able to focus their lightsaber colors on one side or the other, giving them a greater sense of customization when choosing their saber color.
The improved clothing customization options provide Star Wars fans with a greater ability to express their creativity, and have brought an end to the infamously unpopular poncho feature. It’s clear that Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts have taken fan feedback into account, and have provided players with a much more satisfactory selection of gear.
