Gone Home Studio Separates from Upcoming Annapurna Game After Reports of a ‘Toxic’ Work Environment

Fullbright, the studio behind Gone Home, has officially announced that they are no longer developing Open Roads, almost two years after allegations of bullying and harassment were made against co-founder Steve Gaynor. Gaynor, who stepped down from his management position in 2021, posted a blog on May 12th stating that the studio will no longer be representing Open Roads, with publisher Annapurna Interactive taking over the front-facing side of marketing. However, the circumstances surrounding the split are unclear, and it is unknown whether the decision was amicable or made by one party or the other. Gaynor has encouraged those interested in Open Roads to sign up for Annapurna’s newsletter for further updates.
