Get a New Pokémon ASAP in Indigo Disk DLC by Doing This First

The Indigo Disk DLC for⁢ Pokémon Scarlet and Violet introduces several new monsters, including four Paradox Pokémon and new evolutions for Dipplin and Duraludon. Upon starting the DLC, players gain access to the Terarium of Blueberry Academy, where most of the ⁣DLC content is located. Similar to previous versions, the DLC offers open-world ⁢exploration,⁤ allowing trainers to complete tasks in any ⁢order they prefer. However, for those eager to obtain‌ the new Pokémon Hyrdapple, there is one task that should be prioritized.

The main storyline of The Indigo Disk revolves around the BB League Elite Four and their Champion, Kieran, who has become significantly stronger since ⁣The Teal Mask. Battling plays a major role in the DLC, and‌ depending on the extent of exploration in the Terarium’s four biomes, trainers can unlock the Elite Four battles early on. Once unlocked, each member of the Elite Four scatters to one of⁢ the four biomes, and the order in which they are fought is entirely up to the player.

Although it may seem unconventional, Drayton should be the first Elite Four member ‌to be challenged ⁢in the Scarlet and Violet’s Indigo Disk DLC. The game intends‍ for Drayton to be faced last: he is located in the snowy biome, farthest ‌from the Terarium entrance; his Dragon-type team poses a tough challenge; and within ‍the narrative, he holds a leadership role despite not being ⁤the actual Champion. However, defeating ⁢Drayton rewards trainers with ‍the new TM “Dragon Cheer,” which is why he should be the ⁤initial Elite Four member to be defeated, even if it ⁣requires some ‍effort.

The TM “Dragon Cheer” is crucial for evolving Dipplin into Hydrapple. It is also the easiest and fastest method to obtain one of the new ⁤Pokémon from ⁤the Indigo Disk DLC, as the Paradox Pokémon are available in the‌ postgame, and evolving Duraludon into Archaludon requires Metal ⁤Alloy, which can ⁢be purchased for 300 BP at the Blueberry Academy Store. While farming BP is not difficult, it ‌may take longer to accumulate 300 BP compared to simply battling Drayton.

Fighting Drayton can be challenging, but obtaining “Dragon Cheer” and evolving Dipplin into Hydrapple make the effort worthwhile. Teams with lower levels or those weak against Dragon-types may‌ need to ⁣spend time swapping teams or strengthening their⁢ Pokémon. In ‌such cases, ⁢it is easier to farm 300 BP for Achaludon instead. Regardless, this allows trainers to recruit⁤ one new Pokémon early on in The Indigo Disk DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
