During the THQ Nordic Showcase 2023, new footage of Gothic 1 Remake was revealed. The game is set to be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Gothic, originally developed by the German studio Piranha Bytes in 2001, has a dedicated fanbase. The story takes place on the island of Khorinis, where prisoners mine magical ore for King Rhobar II’s war against the orcs. Despite positive reviews of the demo version on Steam, the developers have decided to create the remake from scratch.
