Renowned French actor Gérard Depardieu has been taken into custody in Paris following allegations of sexual assault leveled against him. Reports from BFMTV indicate that he is currently undergoing questioning at a local police station.
Two women have come forward accusing the actor of misconduct. They claim that the incidents took place while filming two separate movies: first in 2014 during the production of “The Magician and the Siamese” (2015), and then in 2021 while working on “The Green Shutters” (2022).
Depardieu vehemently denies these accusations.

On December 16, 2020, Depardieu was formally charged. According to Le Parisien, he was released under judicial supervision after the charges were brought against him. Maintaining his innocence, Depardieu claims that the relationship was consensual.
