After seven long years, the update is finally complete!
The team behind the YouTube channel Suponev com has successfully restored the beloved show “Dandy – New Reality,” originally aired on Russian television from 1994-96. Their journey began in 2017 when they acquired old tapes of the episodes and digitized them for a modern audience. The painstaking restoration process finally came to an end in April 2024, marking a seven-year effort filled with dedication and passion.
With 33 episodes from the “2×2” channel and 25 episodes from ORT now available on Suponev com’s YouTube channel, fans can relive the nostalgia of classic games showcased on the show. Additionally, there are plans to release four more episodes from the second season in the near future. Enthusiasts have also promised to share the entire archive on “Yandex Disk,” ensuring that all fans can enjoy the timeless episodes of “New Reality.”
“Dandy - New Reality” was a celebration of 8-bit and 16-bit console games, featuring iconic titles like Sonic the Hedgehog, Prince of Persia, and Battletoads. Hosted by Sergey Suponev, the show aired its two seasons from September 3, 1994, to January 26, 1996, captivating audiences on the “2×2″ and ORT channels.
