The team at Battlestate Games has introduced an exciting new feature to the popular shooter game Escape from Tarkov – changing seasons. In addition, players can now encounter an armored personnel carrier (BTR) on the ”Forest” map, a vehicle previously only found on the “Streets of Tarkov.”
- Weather in the game will now reflect real calendar seasons, with early spring currently in the Norvinsk region. Despite the lack of snow, the visual and sound effects will create an immersive experience.
- As the seasons change, players can expect differences in the game’s environment, sound effects, and weather.
- Prior to the arrival of spring, an in-game event called “Maslenitsa” was organized, offering players the chance to participate in special activities and earn rewards.

- The “Forest” map has been enhanced with the addition of the BTR-82A, providing players with new gameplay opportunities and challenges.
- The “Epicenter” map now features separate matchmaking, catering to players of different levels. The advanced version of the map will also offer increased difficulty and rewards.
- Developers have also made improvements to sound, ammunition descriptions, and fixed various bugs. The full patch notes are available here.
Following the game patch, player activity has surged, leading to some server performance issues. Battlestate Games is aware of the problem and is actively working on a solution.
