A producer of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II recently attended the Czech event Game Access to discuss the game’s production aspects and how the Xbox Series S influenced its development.
Here are some key points:
- The game aims for 4K and 30 fps on PS5 and Xbox Series X, while on Xbox Series S, it targets 1440p and 30 fps, without plans for other performance modes.
- The game consistently runs at over 30 fps.
- The sequel was designed to be only 25% larger than the original, with a focus on the Xbox Series S’s 10 gigabytes of RAM, a 25% increase from previous console generations.
- The second part contains approximately 1.7 million words, compared to the first part’s 800,000 words.
- Voiceover in the sequel spans 240 hours, up from 108 hours in the first part.
- Currently, 280,000 bugs have been identified in the second part, with an expected increase to 300,000, but 204,000 are projected to be fixed by release. The first part was expected to have fewer than 49,000 bugs.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is scheduled for release in 2024 and will include a Russian text translation.
