Exclusive: Unreleased Call of Duty: Future Warfare Gameplay Video Surfaces, Created by Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Developers

Embark on a journey through the corridors of memory, my friends. Out of the blue, a two-minute gameplay trailer ⁣from Neversoft’s Call of Duty: ⁤Future Warfare has surfaced online, offering a glimpse into what could have been over a decade ago. According to industry veteran Brian Bright’s‌ Twitter, the game Future Warfare, also known ⁤as “NX1”, came into being after⁣ Neversoft transitioned from Guitar Hero.

The leaked footage reveals an early 2011 version of the game, featuring a mission set on the Moon. From‍ the content shown, it’s ⁣evident that Future Warfare was intended to⁢ be a blend of futuristic and ground battles, with remastered maps from classic⁣ Call⁢ of Duty games.

Established in 1994, Neversoft merged with Infinity Ward two decades later, leaving⁢ behind⁣ a⁤ legacy in gaming history. Renowned⁢ for⁢ creating the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games and the Guitar Hero series, Neversoft gained recognition in the early 2000s. In its final years, the company contributed to the development of the Call of Duty series.

Reports ⁣suggest that Neversoft was set to develop its own game for Call of Duty – Future Warfare. The two-minute trailer showcases a soldier defending a lunar base from an attack. It also provides a glimpse of available missions, hinting at‍ a well-polished game.

Developer Brian Bright explained in a comment that Neversoft was working on Future Warfare, and the Moon⁤ mission in the trailer was “actually for the team to experiment with⁤ features such as ‍low gravity.”

Another comment presented a list of multiplayer maps for Future Warfare, including:

Unfortunately, Future Warfare was not meant to be. Ironically, Infinity Ward later worked on Infinite Warfare (2016), which bore some resemblance to Future Warfare in certain aspects.
