The highly anticipated new installment of BioShock has been quietly in the works, with publisher 2K keeping details under wraps. To quench fans’ thirst for information, a leaked screenshot from an early version of the game has surfaced on the MP1st website.
Shared by an anonymous visual effects artist at 2K, the image showcases a demo build from 2021, although it’s noted that the final product may differ. The codename Parkside is visible at the bottom, a reference to the upcoming BioShock game as previously hinted by journalist Jason Schreier.
Recent leaks from the Epic Games Store also mentioned Parkside, along with glimpses of the game’s interface elements and the powerful Ricochet Shotgun. Insiders have suggested that the new BioShock will be set in the isolated city of Borey in Antarctica during the 1960s, with development led by the Cloud Chamber team who are currently expanding their workforce.
