Formula E is introducing a new junior support series to accompany its electric open-wheel championship events across Europe and two events on the DTM schedule. This marks the first support series for Formula E since the Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy, which ran from 2018 to 2020.
The NXT Gen Cup initially launched as a support series for the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship last year and is now expanding its reach to Europe. Open to drivers aged 15 to 25, the series will be featured at all four European races in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship’s Season 10, including Misano, Monaco, Berlin, and the finale in London.
This all-electric series will showcase both male and female drivers, with line-ups set to be revealed starting next week.
