Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has thanked voters after declaring victory in the country’s run-off election. “I thank all our citizens who went to the polls and cast their votes,” he said. “I thank all our citizens who voted for the future of our country.” Erdogan’s victory is expected to give him sweeping new powers under a new constitution.
