Join us on an exciting journey to Limbo with the release trailer for the second expansion of Atomic Heart.
Atomic Heart, a dynamic shooter with a unique retro-futuristic setting and diverse abilities reminiscent of the BioShock series, was released in February 2023. Despite being Mundfish studio’s debut project, the developers managed to create a cinematic storyline in a semi-open world with memorable characters. Almost a year after the release, the second story expansion for Atomic Heart is on its way. To mark this occasion, the game’s creators have unveiled a stunning DLC trailer titled “Prisoner of Limbo.”
The new trailer offers a glimpse into the alternative world of Limbo, envisioned by Mundfish studio’s art director Artem Galeyev. The main character of Atomic Heart finds himself there during the events of the expansion, which continues the story of the original game campaign. Players will encounter insane trials, new areas to explore, and a reversed logic of the familiar world in Limbo.
Amidst the fast-paced battle frenzy, players will face incredible enemies, which can be defeated using unique weapons. To unravel the mysteries of Limbo, delve into the Major’s past, and attempt to free his mind, players will be aided by the embodiment of the Twin, the former beloved wife of P-3. Throughout the dynamic adventure, players will also need to collect apples to unlock skills and weapons, as well as golden coins to acquire up to 7 unique weapon skins for use in the main campaign.
