Disney Princesses Can Use Guns in Dress-Up RPG Thanks to a Loophole

Shining Nikki, the 2021 follow-up to the dress-up role-playing game Love Nikki, is a game that stands out for its strange and mysterious elements. While the clothes are undeniably beautiful, with glittery dresses and tiaras adorned with pearls, it’s the game’s weird RPG elements that make it truly enchanting. For example, the game features guns that you never actually fire, but instead equip for style points during its core gameplay, Styling Battles where you face off against non-playable characters by presenting a better outfit.

However, Shining Nikki’s official Disney collaboration outfits (currently exclusive to Taiwanese servers) take the game’s mysteriousness to a whole new level by actually denying the use of guns. When players try to pair the collaboration outfits with firearms, the guns are immediately unequipped.

The Disney collaboration includes outfits inspired by Beauty and the Beast heroine Belle’s buttercup yellow dress and Cinderella’s puffy silver ball gown, along with related accessories like a full red rose in a glass case for Belle to hold and a midnight-colored ribbon for Cinderella to wear as a choker.
