The Fallout universe is expanding with the release of a popular TV adaptation on Prime Video. With over 100 vaults scattered across the U.S., each housing its own dark experiment, fans have wondered about life beyond American borders. However, Bethesda has no current plans to explore international settings in future Fallout games.
According to Bethesda Executive Producer Todd Howard, the essence of Fallout lies in its Americana naivete, and the focus will remain on U.S. locations. Howard believes in preserving the mystery of unexplored lands, like Europe, to maintain the allure of the series. This means that Fallout 5 is unlikely to venture outside the U.S., disappointing those hoping for a global narrative.
While Fallout games offer limited insight into post-apocalyptic life outside the U.S., a mod called Fallout: London by Team FOLON aims to fill that gap. Set in a fictional post-apocalyptic London in 2237, the mod provides a new storyline separate from the main game. Scheduled for a PC release soon, the mod promises an immersive experience for fans craving international Fallout adventures.
