While playing through the open world of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet‘s Indigo Disk DLC, players will likely encounter trainers scattered throughout the terrarium, ready to battle. However, due to the large map and different terrain across the four biomes, finding every trainer can be challenging.
Although battling every trainer in the terrarium is not necessary to complete the Indigo Disk DLC, it can be a great way to strengthen your Pokémon before facing the BB Elite Four and Kieran. Additionally, defeating a certain number of trainers in a specific biome allows players to receive BP. Some trainers in the terrarium are also League Club members, who are more challenging than regular trainers. These League Club members can be identified by the color of their speech bubbles.
The Savanna Biome is the easiest to find NPC trainers, as there are no trainers in caves, and the biome is mostly flat and open. In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet’s Indigo Disk, there are 14 trainers in this biome, with only 2 of them being League Club members. Most trainers can be found and battled easily by going directly from the terrarium entrance to the Central Plaza, where most of them are located. Players can then circle back to battle any remaining trainers they missed.
The Canyon Biome is one of the most challenging to navigate due to its large cave system and scattered cliffs. It is recommended for players to keep an eye out for trainers and use the flying ability in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet’s Indigo Disk, as it can make navigation significantly easier. Alternatively, reaching high ground and gliding can provide an overview of the area. There are 6 League Club members to battle in the Canyon Biome, primarily in caves.
The Polar Biome has the highest number of trainers, with a total of 16, including two hidden inside caves. It is important to note that the caves in this area connect to those in the Canyon Biome, so players should check the mini-map to avoid accidentally crossing over to another biome. Out of the 16 trainers in this area, 5 of them are League Club members who offer greater rewards and pose a greater challenge, aiding players in progressing further in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet’s Indigo Disk DLC.
