GameStop ‍is discontinuing its crypto locker after just one year. According to an alert on the company’s website (via Game Developer),⁤ GameStop Wallet will no longer be⁢ available after November 1st. ⁢The decision‍ is attributed to the regulatory​ uncertainty⁢ surrounding the cryptocurrency space.

The retailer’s iOS ​and Chrome Extension‌ lockers, which were ⁢marketed as a “self-custodial Ethereum ​wallet,” will be removed on‍ November 1st. GameStop‌ advises ⁤customers to have ⁣their Secret Passphrase ready by October 1st‍ in​ order to retrieve their NFTs.​ The company stated, “Any ⁣customer with ‍access to their Secret Passphrase has the ability⁤ to recover their‍ account⁢ in any compatible wallet.”
