Gamers are eager to enhance their gaming experience by facing off against the formidable Adam Smasher, the head of Arasaka Corporation’s security service, in Cyberpunk 2077.
Players who have completed Cyberpunk 2077 are likely familiar with Adam Smasher, a character who also appears in the Cyberpunk: Edgewalker anime spin-off. With the upcoming release of the Phantom Liberty expansion and the 2.0 update for Cyberpunk 2077, some gamers have reached out to CD Projekt RED, the developers, requesting an improvement to the duel with Adam Smasher in a future update, elevating it to the status of a “final boss.”
A Reddit user recently wrote, “If CDPR has revamped the enemy system in the 2.0 update, they should consider enhancing the final battle with boss Adam Smasher.” Many players in the comments section expressed their support for this idea, hoping that the development team will indeed enhance the fight. They believe that Adam Smasher, as a character designed to evoke animosity from players, should not be defeated easily but rather present more challenging trials.
In the original game, the duel with Adam Smasher was not considered difficult. However, with the release of the 2.0 update and DLC, the main character’s strength will be significantly increased, making it even easier to defeat this boss. This discrepancy does not align with the narrative structure of Adam Smasher or the impression he made in the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime.
The only paid expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Liberty, will be available on September 26th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Prior to that, a free update, Cyberpunk Update 2.0, will introduce numerous changes to the game.
