As Israel’s conflict with Gaza reaches its 200th day, concerns grow over a potential ground assault in the densely populated southern region of Gaza.
Overnight, the Israeli military conducted heavy shelling in the neighborhoods of Tuffah, Shujayea, and Zeitun in Gaza. Explosions and shelling were reported in southwest Gaza and Khan Younis, while air raids targeted areas near the Bureij and Nuseirat refugee camps.
The military confirmed striking multiple Hamas positions in southern Gaza, hitting approximately 25 targets, including observation and launch posts.
Since October 7, Israel’s military offensive has resulted in the deaths of over 34,183 individuals in Gaza, predominantly women and children, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
The latest update from the ministry reported at least 32 fatalities within the past 24 hours.
