Breaking News: Over 12,000 Homes Submerged in Flooding Across 39 Russian Regions, Ministry of Emergency Situations Reveals

According⁢ to a report from the⁣ Russian ⁢Emergencies Ministry, approximately 12,700 residential buildings in 39⁢ regions of Russia are currently submerged⁤ due to flooding. The situation is most ‌critical in Orenburg, where ​nearly⁣ 3000 houses and ‌close to 4900 plots ‍of ​land are underwater. Despite some improvements overall, the number⁣ of affected properties and evacuated individuals in Orenburg is on the rise.

In Orsk, where ⁣a dam breach occurred, ⁢the​ situation is slowly stabilizing,‌ with water receding from 200 homes in the past 24 hours. In the Kurgan region,⁢ flooding has impacted‍ 12 settlements, leading⁢ to ⁢submerged houses, land, and roadways.

To address ⁢the challenging ⁣circumstances, the Emergencies Ministry is actively conducting evacuations from flooded areas. A large-scale evacuation has been initiated in Orenburg, as confirmed⁢ by Mayor Sergey Salmin. While the water level ‌in the Ural ⁣River is still increasing, Governor ‍Denis Pasler assures that the​ situation has steadied in the past few hours.

During a ​meeting with Vladimir Putin,⁣ Pasler⁢ estimated the flood damage to ⁢exceed 40 billion rubles. Assessments of the destruction in Orsk have been conducted, encompassing infrastructure, housing, social amenities, and businesses.
