This goes against Blizzard’s rules, as KBM players typically have better aim compared to controller users, despite features like aim assist on consoles. After some delay, the developer is now taking action to address the issue of XIM cheating.
XIM devices deceive consoles into thinking KBM users are using a controller. Blizzard recently announced that they have been able to identify KBM players on consoles during the past few Overwatch 2 seasons. The prevalence of cheating is higher among players in higher ranks, with the use of unapproved peripherals being described as “very rare” in lower ranks.
