Arrest Made in Zoo Kangaroo Joey Kidnapping Case, Tragic Loss of One Joey

A suspect has been apprehended in the Vladimir⁢ region for the abduction of three kangaroo joeys from zoos ⁤in Yaroslavl and⁣ Kaluga. Sadly, one of the youngest joeys from ‍Kaluga did not survive.

Reports indicate that the culprit managed to sell one joey ⁣and⁤ had plans to trade another for a ⁢rare monkey. Initially mistaken ‍for a child due to a composite sketch, it was later discovered that the suspect had growth abnormalities. The connection ‌between⁢ both⁤ crime ⁤scenes was established through⁣ a shared phone number.

The theft of the⁣ kangaroo joeys came to light on October 1st, with one taken from Yaroslavl on September 27 and two ⁤others from Kaluga on September 30. Authorities have launched theft investigations under ⁤Article 158 of the Criminal Code.
