Anime Adaptation of Gintama Light Novel Series Announced

It was announced during the Gintama Ato no Matsuri event that the 3-Nen Z-Gumi Ginpachi-Sensei novel will be adapted into an anime. The novel, written by Tomohito Ōsaki, is set in Gintama High School and follows Ginpachi Sakata, a teacher without the proper qualifications.

The first novel was released in 2006, and the latest edition was published by Shueisha in 2018. With over five novels in the series, almost all of them will be used in the anime adaptation. The original anime used content from the novel at the end of its episodes.

Sorachi’s manga has inspired several anime adaptations, including the Gintama anime with 367 episodes. The first episode aired in 2006, and the final episode was released in 2018.
