Do you recall when the popular role-playing game Alpha Protocol mysteriously vanished from Steam in 2019, leaving fans unable to purchase or play it digitally? Sega later revealed that the game was removed due to expired publishing rights, leaving players with no choice but to hunt down a physical copy.
Now, nearly five years later, GOG, Sega, and developer Obsidian Entertainment have joined forces to bring Alpha Protocol back to the store with a plethora of enhancements to bring it up to modern standards.
Notably, the game’s licensed soundtrack, which was reportedly the cause of its removal, has been preserved and will be included in the reissue. In addition, the game will feature full controller support, including compatibility with older and newer controllers such as Xbox Series X and DualSense, as well as localization support (including Russian language), improved compatibility with modern operating systems, and cloud save support.
