Maggie Robertson, known for her portrayal of the iconic Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village, will take on another memorable villain role in Baldur’s Gate 3.
This new character, named Orin the Red, is a shape-shifting magical threat. She is both seductive and sadistic, and her purpose in the game is to test your determination.
Orin works for one of the opposing higher powers in the game and stands out visually with her completely white eyes, fiery red and revealing attire, and smoky patterns on her skin. She is merciless and will utilize her shape-shifting abilities to catch you off guard and deceive you, forcing you to make horrifying choices.
Maggie Robertson joins J.K. Simmons as General Ketheric Torm and Jason Isaacs as Lord Enver Gortash to form a “sinister triumvirate” of villains in Baldur’s Gate 3.
“It was a tremendous honor for me to be in the same realm, let alone share scenes with J.K. Simmons and Jason Isaacs… And it was incredibly inspiring and thrilling to witness their work in this game and feel how our characters come together in shared scenes, creating this sinister, evil triumvirate.”
Baldur’s Gate 3 is a vast open-world RPG developed by the creators of the Divinity: Original Sin series. The PC release has been delayed by one month, moving from August 31st to October 3rd, to avoid overlapping with Bethesda’s Starfield, which is set to release in early September. The PlayStation 5 version has also been slightly postponed to September 6th, while the release dates for the Xbox Series X and S versions are still unknown (more information about the Baldur’s Gate 3 delay on Xbox can be found here).
In an interview with Vinke, the developers revealed that a standard playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3 takes between 75 and 100 hours. However, players who wish to “do everything” should expect double that amount of time.
