Zoom changes policy, no longer allowing AI training on customer data


Zoom has revised its terms of service‌ following backlash over recent updates that allowed AI ‌training on customer data. StackDiary reported over the‌ weekend that ⁣the changes, implemented in March without announcement, appeared ‍to give Zoom extensive control over customer⁢ data for AI ⁣training. ⁣In response, Zoom released a blog post today stating that it would not engage in ⁢the activities outlined in its terms. The company then updated its terms in response to the ongoing ⁣criticism. The updated terms now state that Zoom⁢ will not ⁢train AI models on consumer video, audio,‍ or ​chats ​without customer consent.
