YouTube Music’s latest redesign of the Now Playing page is being rolled out to iOS and Android devices worldwide. The app now includes a new feature that allows users to read and post comments directly on the Now Playing page. Previously, this option was only available for playlists.
According to screenshots shared by 9to5 Google, some of the comments on the page may date back several years. It appears that Google is populating the section with comments from related YouTube videos, which may not always be a positive experience.
In addition to the comment feature, the updated design includes other changes. The cover art is now larger, and song titles and artist names are aligned to the left side of the screen. Another notable change is the addition of a carousel with buttons for various actions, such as commenting, giving a thumbs up or down to a track, saving songs to a playlist, sharing, downloading, and accessing the radio. Most of the previously available actions are still available.
