After a decade, Square Enix’s popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game, Final Fantasy XIV, is finally making its way to Xbox consoles. The developer has announced that the game will be available for Xbox Series X/S in spring 2024. Similar to the PS5 version, this release will support 4K visuals on Series X and offer faster loading times. It is currently unclear if there will be any Xbox-exclusive upgrades.
An open beta for patch 6.5X is expected, indicating that the Xbox port should be ready in time for the Dawntrail expansion scheduled for summer next year.

Microsoft has been actively seeking to include Final Fantasy games in its catalog. In 2019, the company added 10 titles to Game Pass, including several releases from VII to XV.
