Reports from Tuva indicate that there are currently 31 forest fires raging across 2849 hectares of land, with efforts to contain four of them already underway. One of the fires originated within the boundaries of the “Azas” reserve, while another in the Tandinsky district is dangerously close to the five-kilometer buffer zone around residential areas. The government of the republic has confirmed that all of these fires were triggered by thunderstorms.
