The Holy Cedar Tablet in Diablo 4 is encountered by many players within the first hour of gameplay. During the Rite of Passage quest in Kyovashad, players are asked to inscribe a Holy Cedar Tablet with a sin that troubles them and then burn it before entering.
The Holy Cedar Tablets are located in a wooden stall to the left, and players will have several options to inscribe. As this is the key to entering Kyovashad, the right choice may seem important, but the truth is that there isn’t a correct answer. All options will provide the same results, so the choice is left up to the player’s personal preference. None of the options will result in rejection or any other consequence, even scribbling into the wood. Simply select the preferred option, and the character will burn it in the brazier.
After burning the inscription, return to the guard blocking the entrance to Kyovashad. There will be a short dialogue sequence where it will be accepted that the task has been completed, and players will be granted access to the area. Though there isn’t any difference between the options, there is one nice little touch: when running into Lorath later, he will guess which option was inscribed. He will always be correct, even if the scribbles were chosen, he would point out that nothing was likely written. Though unnecessary, it’s a nice little treat for players of Diablo 4.
