In For the King 2, there are around twelve different classes available, but not all of them are unlocked at the beginning of your adventures. While you do have a few character types right away, many others are hidden until you complete certain tasks tied to the main story. The most creative and fun party compositions are achieved when you have access to every archetype from the start.
You initially have five character types to choose from in For the King 2, similar to the four basic character classes seen in Minecraft’s D&D DLC. Likely inspired by classic TTRPG roots, each starting archetype teaches you the basic mechanics of the game through an easy-to-understand class. As you progress, more complicated warriors, spell casters, and unorthodox origins will start appearing as you meet various objectives.

Every mission in For the King 2 is called a Campaign, which acts like story Chapters that take you through the events of the main narrative. The main quests your party pursues are important, but several of the locked classes are only obtained when you engage in side content.
