Stardock Entertainment and Ironclad Games have unveiled an exciting new trailer for the upcoming real-time space strategy game, Sins of a Solar Empire II. After a year and a half on the Epic Games Store, the game is finally making its way to Steam with a major update and localization.
Players can choose from six major factions, each representing one of three distinct races. Each faction offers a unique development style, mechanics, and starting units. Sins II allows players to seamlessly switch between tactical fleet control and galaxy-scale management.
The game features a realistic physics model for ships, turrets, stations, and projectiles. This adds a layer of strategy as players can use nimble fighters to protect larger ships. The dynamic global map ensures that the universe is constantly in motion, with planets, moons, and stars orbiting and changing relationships.
Scheduled for a full release on Steam in 2024, Sins II will introduce two new factions for the Advent race, official modding tools, new voice acting and music, UI updates, improved AI with active diplomacy, and a visual damage display system for large objects.
The Steam page for Sins of a Solar Empire II is now live, and the game will also feature a Russian localization upon release.
