The Legend of Zelda always concludes each game’s main storyline with Link saving Hyrule or another land from impending evil. However, not every question raised in the game is answered, leading to unresolved mysteries with significant implications for the Zelda universe’s lore.
While some of these unsolved mysteries may seem insignificant, their potential impact is much greater than meets the eye. Others simply fuel an insatiable curiosity, turning replaying the games into a quest for answers, often leading to speculation as the only means of satisfying that curiosity.
For example, Link’s acquisition of the Song of Storms creates an endless time loop, hinting at the possibility that Link is trapped in an eternal cycle of saving Hyrule and Zelda from Ganondorf.
In Majora’s Mask, Link’s quest to find Navi, his fairy companion from Ocarina of Time, yields no clues about her whereabouts. This leaves Navi’s location as a genuine mystery, especially since Link would have searched for her in Hyrule first, finding no trace of her.
The identity and purpose of the Poe Collector, who runs a ghost shop in Hyrule, also remain unexplained, leaving lingering questions about the value and significance of ghosts in the Zelda universe.
