The visa of a Palestinian student in the United Kingdom has been revoked due to her participation in a pro-Palestine demonstration at her university.
After making remarks at the protest last year, Dana Abuqamar had her visa withdrawn by the Home Office, citing her as a “national security” threat.
Abuqamar, who leads the Friends of Palestine society at the University of Manchester, expressed her support for the Palestinian right to resist oppression and break through the siege on Gaza.
She emphasized the importance of freedom of expression as a fundamental human right, especially for ethnic minorities like Muslims and Palestinians.
Having lost 15 family members during Israel’s war on Gaza, the 19-year-old law student shared her experiences at a pro-Palestine event last year.

Abuqamar expressed pride at the pro-Palestine event but later clarified that the deaths of innocent civilians should never be condoned.
