Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), the world’s top semiconductor manufacturer, has revealed plans to construct three cutting-edge 2nm chip factories.
Chairman Mark Liu disclosed the company’s ambitious vision, with the first factory set to open near Hsinchu in 2025, followed by a second facility in Kaohsiung in 2026.
Additionally, TSMC is in talks to establish a third factory in Taichung, aiming to commence mass production of 2nm chips by the latter half of 2025.
