The first exascale laptop has formally arrived.

Oak Ridge’s Frontier clocked in at about 1.1 exaflops, or 1.1 quintillion operations per second. Frontier beat out the earlier record-holder, a supercomputer referred to as Fugaku on the RIKEN Center for Computational Science in Kobe, Japan, which achieved greater than 0.4 exaflops.
While tentative reviews have prompt that some Chinese supercomputers are already attaining exascale efficiency, they haven’t been reported on the TOP500 rating thus far.
