Samsung’s ViewFinity S9 5K monitor is finally coming to the United States, allowing both Mac and PC users to purchase it for $1,599. The tech giant unveiled its first 5K monitor at CES in January and released it in South Korea in June.
The 27-inch ViewFinity S9 5K monitor by Samsung is specifically designed for creatives, featuring HDR 600 support, a matte display to minimize glares, and Eye Saver Mode for extended usage. This 5K monitor boasts a resolution of 5,120 x 2,880, 99 percent DCI-P3, and 221 pixels per inch. Additionally, users can calibrate the ViewFinity S9 5K monitor using the SmartThings app in either Basic mode, which adjusts gamma settings and white balance, or Professional mode, which allows control over luminance and color temperature or space. It also includes a 4K camera and is compatible with both PCs and Macs.
