The developers of the action game Stellar Blade have dismissed two “toxic feminists” from their studio
During discussions with shareholders of the Chinese IT giant Tencent, representatives of the SHIFT UP studio accused them of the main heroine being “overly sexualized and in need of revision”. This incident actually occurred two years ago, but has recently resurfaced on the internet for some reason.
Meanwhile, ahead of the game’s April 26 release, a femstorm has erupted on Twitter with complaints about the unrealistic nature of the main heroine, along with backlash from gamers.
Interestingly, the model for the main heroine of the upcoming action game is based on the scanned appearance of a real girl – Korean model Shin Jae-eun, who served as the inspiration for Eve’s appearance.
Despite the controversy, the game looks promising and is set for release, indicating that the uproar from SJW activists did not hinder its development, and the main heroine’s design is quite impressive.
