After a series of speculations and conjectures about the performance of Starfield, more specific information about game optimization on PC is starting to emerge. Apparently, Bethesda’s most ambitious open-space role-playing game does indeed lack the usual problems of the studio’s previous projects, but with some nuances. The leak authors report “smooth performance” with “slight FPS drops.”
An insider shared information about the performance of Starfield on PC under the username QuickLeak1. He claims to simply be relaying information from a journalist who has already spent 30-40 hours in the game for writing a review. As proof of his words, he published several gameplay clips from the game that have not appeared anywhere else before, as well as shared a screenshot of the PC graphics settings.
So, according to the author, he tested the performance of Starfield on an AMD Ryzen 7 3800X processor with an RTX 2080 TI graphics card. The game resolution was set to 1440p, and the graphics settings were high, while he was getting 45-60 frames per second in the game. In dungeons and space, the game was already showing 60-70 FPS. He also notes that Starfield does not have FSR3 and other scaling technologies, but the ones that are present overall work great.
It is worth reminding that another insider shared gameplay and some details about Starfield earlier.
The game is set to be released on September 6, 2023. You can get a copy of the game on Steam through our website, using bonuses.
