A mass shooting at ⁢a‌ university in Prague has left 11 people‍ dead –⁢ including the gunman⁢ –⁣ and nine seriously wounded, says the Czech capital’s emergency services⁣ department.

“At the‌ moment I can say there are 11 dead⁢ people on the scene including the gunman,”⁣ emergency services spokeswoman Jana Postova told public Czech TV.

Police gave no details about the victims or the ⁤circumstances of the gunfire. Jana Postova, a spokesperson for Prague’s rescue service,‍ confirmed numerous people⁢ were injured but had no ⁣details.

The violence in the Czech city’s historic centre sparked panic, a massive police response and warnings for​ people ⁢to stay indoors.
