Google Wallet now offers the convenience of storing a digital copy of your US passport for easy access at TSA checkpoints. No more fumbling through your belongings at the airport – simply use your phone!
To add your passport to Google Wallet, download the app, log in or create an account, and select “create an ID pass with your US passport.” Follow the steps to verify your identity with a video selfie and scan of your passport’s security chip. Google will quickly confirm your identity.
While not all airports accept digital passports yet, there are 27 states (and Puerto Rico) with at least one airport that does. Check the TSA website for a list of states and airports that support digital IDs.
